Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman, Shaharyar Khan Sunday said if negotiations with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) didn't work out the national team might not tour Bangladesh in April-May.

The PCB chief for the first time indicated clearly that Pakistan had not ruled out the option of canceling their tour to Bangladesh if their demands were not met.

"We have told the BCB that we are making a justified demand for a 50 per cent share in the revenues from the series and we can negotiate further but if things don't work out we might not send our team," he told a media conference in Lahore.

The PCB has demanded a 50 per cent share in revenues taking the stand that since Bangladesh didn't tour Pakistan in 2012 as per commitment the coming series was a home series for Pakistan.

"It is in principle our home series since they didn't come in 2012 after we went there in 2011. So we want a share in revenues and since it is a bilateral series we are within our right to negotiate with the other board."

Pakistan is due to play two Tests, three ODIs and a T20 match in Bangladesh after the World Cup.

Shaharyar also described the ruling out of senior players, Muhammad Hafeez and Junaid Khan from the World Cup as a big blow to the team.

"These things have hurt our preparations but in cricket these things happen and one has to move on the World Cup is yet to begin and our team now needs to pull itself up," he said.

Khan said he was accepting the demands made by the tour selection committee for replacement players since the captain and coaches had to get the team to perform on the field not the board.
