COLOMBO, Sri Lanka:  Pakistan reached 47-1 at lunch on the second day of the second test Friday after having bowled out Sri Lanka for 320 in its first innings, with seamer Junaid Khan taking five wickets for the fifth time in his career.

Left-arm spinner Rangana Herath had opener Khurram Manzoor caught behind for 23. Ahmed Shehzad was not out on 21 at lunch with Azhar Ali yet to score. The visitors scored at more than five runs per over in the nine overs they faced before the break.

Earlier Khan completed his five-wicket haul by trapping overnight batsman Dhammika Prasad lbw for 13 to finish with 5-87. All of his five-wicket hauls have come against Sri Lanka, with two at the Sinhalese Sports Club.

Wahab Riaz supported him well with 3-88. Younis Khan recorded his 100th test match catch when he snapped up Herath at slip to end the Sri Lanka innings.

Sri Lanka had started its innings promisingly after winning the toss but slumped from 144-2 to 261-8 by stumps on the first day. However their tail-enders added 59 runs on the second morning to build a competitive score.

Upul Tharanga made 92 for Sri Lanka facing 179 deliveries and hitting 12 boundaries. He shared 79 runs for the opening wicket with Kaushal Silva who made 41.

Kumar Sangakkara who had been in imperious form scoring double century in the first innings of the first test was dismissed for 22 while Mahela Jayawadene made just four in his last test of a lengthy career.

Sri Lanka leads the two-match series 1-0 after the dramatic seven wicket win in the first test at Galle.
