LEEDS, England : Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq is set to undergo an MRI scan for his back injury.
Pakistan team manager Yawar Saeed told The Associated Press on Sunday he expects Razzaq "will need the MRI so we can see what the problem is."
Razzaq is a leading member of Pakistan's squad. He has missed two one-day internationals against England so far, including the four-wicket defeat on Sunday at Headingley. Pakistan trails 2-0 in the five-match series.
"Our physio Dale Naylor will assess him once again tomorrow (Monday) and decide if we need to send him for an MRI," Saeed said.
Pakistan's difficult tour has already been blighted by spot-fixing allegations that led to three players _ Salman Butt, Mohamamd Asif and Mohammad Amir _ being suspended and sent home.
As well as Razzaq's injury, replacement Mohammad Irfan has suffered with cramp in his two matches so far.
Captain Shahid Afridi criticised Irfan after Sunday's game but his bowling options are limited. Another pace bowler, Wahab Riaz, is also to be questioned by police and not played since this was announced. AP
