Northamton: Not very long ago Australian captain Michael Clarke and all rounder Shane Watson
were not at ease with each other. Their relationships hit the bottom when during tour of IndiaWatson was sent back.
Clarke had reportedly said that Watson's was a "cancerous" influence on the team .
It seems time and 0-3 drubbing in Ashes has healed the sore relationship.Clarke was seen giving
batting tips to Watson at the nets in Northamton, ahead of their Oval test, the fifth and the last
of Ashes series.
In the Ashes series so far Watson, as an opener failed miserably, scoring 13.46,30,20 and 19.He has
scores just one fifty(68) that too at no 6 in the fourth test that England won.Australi has tried
many combination at the top batting order but result so far has been the same and that's a problem
captain Clarke and new coach Darrel Lehmann facing. And of course Watson's form too costing them dearly.
Though Aussies are at the fag end of their long Ashes tour, having lost the series, while Clarke
lectured Watson,Lehmann gave some terse advice to other Australian batsmen at the nets which looked
like a nets for school kids.
