Chennai, Jun 10 : Chennai Police has said it does not have enough evidence against former Indian Premier League chief Lalit Modi, says a media report.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had filed a complaint against Modi and six others, accusing them of misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs. 468 crore.
The complaint, filed by Secretary N Srinivasan on behalf of the BCCI accused him of receiving kickbacks while allotting media rights and free commercial rights.
Chennai police has said, Modi cannot be held guilty as BCCI has not laid guidelines for the procedures to be followd while allotting media rights and free commercial rights.
