New Delhi: Indian opener Murali Vijay today completed his sixth Test century, soon after Team India resumed their first innings on the third day of the one-off Test against Bangladesh at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.

He reached the mark in 201 balls with a four to the third man fence off Taijul Islam.

Another opener Shikhar Dhawan missed the opportunity to hit his maiden double ton as he gave a simple return catch to Shakib Al Hasan to be dismissed for 173.

Dhawan came down the pitch but the ball followed him and he was cramped for room on the flick, he got a leading edge and the ball looped back to Shakib.

Dhawan hit 23 fours in his knock that came off 195 balls.

Rohit Sharma, who came on third position after Dhawan, lost his wicket only after scoring 6 runs. He was bowled out by Shakib Al Hasan.

The play on the third day of the test started 30 minutes before schedule to make up for lost time. As many as 34 overs were lost on Day 1 on Wednesday and the whole day on Day 2 was washed out because of the rain.
