Mumbai is the most successful team in the history of Ranji Trophy with 40 titles, the most recent being is today (Jan 28, 2013). It also has 16 Irani Trophy titles to its name.
The team's primary home ground is the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai. Secondary home venues include the MCA ground in Bandra Kurla Complex and Brabourne Stadium.
It has played in 43 of the 66 Ranji finals through 2010 winning 39 and today it thrashed Saurashtra by an innings and 125 runs for their 40th Ranji Trophy title.
