New Delhi: They said his days are gone and he should retire. But India's veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh shut the mouth of all his critics with his excellent performance in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL).

Bhajji bowled some beautiful spells, played some exquisite shots and led Mumbai Indians to their second IPL title and proved that age does not matter if you have the passion for the game.

After his eye-catching performance, the ‘Turbanator' earned a recall to the national test side after two long years.

He will be sporting the white Indian jersey on June 10 when India will take on Bangladesh in the only test match at Fatullah, Bangladesh.

With this return, Harbhajan has made it to the list of some of the most memorable comebacks in test cricket history:

Here, we are presenting you some of the heroic test cricket comebacks:

Geoffrey Boycott

Former cricketer Geoff Boycott made himself unavailable for England between 1974-1977 claiming that he lost his appetite for Test cricket and that the stress had become too much.

In his heroic return to test cricket in 1977 against Australia, he went on to score his 99th first class century and 100th in the next.

Mohinder Amarnath

Mohinder Amarnath also known as Jimmy never had a steady place in Indian test squad. He is also known as the comeback man of India who turned out to be a 1983 World Cup triumph hero after being dropped on several occasions.

Sourav Ganguly

Sourav Ganguly, India's one of the best captains, made a comeback to the national test side after almost a year. In his first innings after returning, he scored a brilliant 51 to lead India to the maiden test win in South Africa.

In 2007, Ganguly scored his maiden double ton against Pakistan and also became the second-highest run getter in tests in 2007 before retirement.

Zaheer Khan

The only Indian fast bowler who was compared to the legendary Kapil Dev had struggled with injuries throughout his career.

After being dropped in 2004-05 seasons, he earned a recall from national selectors to the test side after a successful county season with Worcestershire. He grabbed the opportunity with both hands and picked eight more fifers.

He has been the backbone of Indian test team which gained the top spot in test rankings first time ever in 2009.

Misbah-ul-Haq

Misbah-ul-Haq, Pakistan test skipper and Mr. Dependable, after making his test debut in 2001 didn't featured in even a single test between 2003 and 2007.

He made a comeback after 4 years  against South Africa. He has successfully cemented his permanent position in the test squad maintaing the career average close to 50. He scored his maiden double ton against Australia last year and followed it by another ton against New Zealand.
