This news broke the heart of the many fans and supporters of Sania Mirza when she had announced that she will be marrying Pakistani Cricketer Shoaib Malik. Sania Mirza who was the face of Indian tennis decided to marry another sportsperson from the neighboring country. Their wedding though was marred by controversies. Sania, who was earlier engaged to her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza called off her engagement and was set to marry Malik when it was reported that the all-rounder was already married to a girl named Ayesha Siddiqui which Malik denied initially.It was confirmed later that Malik had married Siddiqui and after getting a divorce, the former captain of Pakistan married Sania.
