New Delhi: The ICC has declared the men's Team of the Tournament .The team had four Indians in the list and also the captain of Indian Cricket team Mahendra Singh Dhoni to lead the team.It was selected by a group of experts on the basis of player's performance in the tournament. The team includes four players from India, two from both South Africa and West Indies, and one representative each from Australia, Netherlands and Sri Lanka. Rohit Sharma (India) : The opener of the Indian team made it to the list as he was the second highest scorer from the Indian team. He had aggregated a total of 200 runs from the six matches. Stephan Myburg (Netherlands): The batsman from Holland had a good run in the tournament. The opener had a total of 224 runs. He is the single player to be selected from the associate countries that have taken part in the tournament. Virat Kohli (India): The man of the tournament was an automatic choice to be in the dream team. He aggregated a total of 319 runs and also made four half centuries. Virat has been rock solid at number three and had performed in almost every game that he played.JP Duminy (South Africa): The South African allrounder played some crucial knocks.This helped the south African team to reach the semis where it was defeated by Indian team. He made a highest score of 86 not out against New Zealand Duminy is an utility player since he can bowl off spin too which helped in the spin friendly conditions of Bangladesh.Glenn Maxwell (Australia) : Although Australia as a team did not performed as expected but the dream team has one player from the Australian team. The allrounder has made a total of 147 .He is hard hitter and fits in properly in the fifth slot. To add on with his hard hitting with the bat he can bowl some off spin too.MS Dhoni (India) :The maverick captain cool of the India team has been selected as the captain to lead the ICC team. He has been selected on the basis of his leadership skillsin which he took team India to finals before getting defeated by Sri Lanka. He made just 50 runs because either his services were not required or he had very few deliveries to play for.He is also the wicketkeeper of the team . Dhoni made six dismissals in the tournament. Darren Sammy (West Indies) :The Caribbean skipper has also been included in the team mainly because of his ability to score quick runs. He played a match winning knock against Pakistan to take west Indies to the semis. He made an toatal of 101 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin (India) :The Indian off spinner who was out of form before the start of World T20 made the tournament to return back to his form. Ashwin had a haul of 11 wickets. The delivery in which he got the South African batsman Hashim Amla is termed by many as the delivery of the tournament.Dale Steyn (South Africa) –:The pace bowler who bowled his heart out in the spin friendly wickets was chosen to lead the pace attack of the team. He had a tally of nine wickets from five games. Samuel Badree (West Indies) : The leg spinner from West Indies is also in the dream team as the second spinner. He took 11 wickets and was instrumental in wrecking havoc on the Pakistani batsmen where he was literally unplayable.Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka) : The pace bowler from Sri Lanka cannot be ruled from any T20 team. His toe crushing yorkers can prove to be lethal at any point of the match. He took a total of five wickets in the match. He is an asset because he give away too little runs in which batsman tends to score runs quickly.12th Player: Krishmar Santokie (West Indies) :He is surprise package from the Caribbean islands . He did not posses the express pace that generally the Caribbean's are associated with. But he compensate that with an impeccable line and length. He had taken a total of eight wickets from five matches that he had played.
