London: NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul, a keen cricket enthusiast, has complimented the Indian team for their its victory against England in the second Test at the historic Lord's here.
"I was at the Lord's soon after lunch. It was nice to see... in my presence three wickets fell and India romped home victorious. It was India's second victory at Lord's," he said. India clinched their first Test win yesterday at the Lord's in nearly three decades as they rode on Ishant Sharma's
inspired spell of fast bowling to demolish England by 95 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the five match series.
"I was there in 1986 when Kapil Dev led India to victory for the first time at Lord's. It was great that we have something to celebrate," Paul said after receiving the International Icon of the Decade Award at the Global Indian Excellence Summit and Awards organised by the World Consulting and Research Corporation here last night.
