Hamilton: New Zealand's Corey Anderson smashed five sixes as he made quick 44 runs off 17 balls to take the Kiwis to 271-7 against India in the 2nd ODI of their 5 match one-day series, with the match reduced to 42 overs per inning due to rain. The revised target is 297 runs according to D/L method.
Kane Williamson scored 77 and Ross Taylor 57 joining Anderson in a late onslaught in which they added 74 runs in 4.4 overs.
Kiwis' innings was twice interrupted by rain: for only 10 minutes on the first occasion then for almost two hours from the 34th over when they were 170-2. They showed little effect from the interruption, returning to score 101 runs in the last 8.4 overs.
They looked set for a formidable total, but lost four wickets for four runs, stemming the flow.
