Johannesburg, Oct 9: Sri Lankan pacer Nuwan Kulasakera replaced Dwayne Bravo in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad for the Champions League Twenty20 which starts here Tuesday.
Bravo, who was in the West Indies team Sunday that won the World Cup T20 in Sri Lanka, is suffering from a thigh strain.
Another CSK player, Anirudh Srikkanth sustained a fall in a domestic cricket match last week and will be out of action for six weeks following a fracture to his right clavicle. His place will be taken by Shadab Jakati, a left-arm Indian spinner who first played for CSK when the IPL was held in South Africa in 2009.
The Super Kings play their first match against Sydney Sixers Sunday.
For UVA Next, left-handed batsman Upul Tharanga won't make the trip to South Africa due to a broken finger. His place in the squad is taken by former Sri Lankan U-19 captain Ashan Priyanjana.
England player Johnny Bairstow also won't be turning out for Yorkshire due to a wrist injury. The 18-year-old left-handed wicketkeeper-batsman Ed Wilson has been called up as Bairstow's replacement.
Champions League Twenty20's technical committee approved the squad changes Tuesday.
