Mitchell Johnson was called back to Australia from India when the Aussies were on Indian tour in November to warm up for the Ashes, many cricket specialists criticized this decision of the ACB but the decision is now looking like a well rewarded one.
On 23rd November 2006, Johnson debuted for the first Ashes Test beginning but was 12th man in all of the games.
