Adelaide, Australia: Ex-South Africa international Johan has passed biomechanical tests on his bowling action and Cricket Australia has cleared him to bowl in domestic competition
The 31-year-old Botha, now South Australia captain, was cited by umpires in an interstate limited-overs match on Oct. 4.
Testing on Botha's off-spinner, quicker ball and flicker ball found that his action for all deliveries was under, or equal to, the allowable elbow extension of 15 degrees.
Cricket Australia said his action was captured by a 20 camera motion analysis system sampling at 250 frames per second, allowing for 3D measurement of human movement.
Botha had been reported twice previously for a suspect action and cleared while playing for South Africa.
