New Delhi: A three-judge committee appointed by the Supreme Court has found out that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Jagmohan Dalmiya's speech is ‘incoherent', ‘incomprehensible' and wondered who is running the cricket affairs in the country.

The SC, on January 22, had appointed the three-member committee of retired apex court judges Ashok Bhan and R V Raveendran headed by former Chief Justice of India R M Lodha.

The committee's task was to prescribe punishment for Gurunath Meiyappan, ex-BCCI president N Srinivasan's son-in-law and Chennai Super Kings official, and Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra. Both of them were found being involved in betting in IPL 2013. The committee was also asked to recommend ways to improve the administration of BCCI.

The committee met several prominent personalities involved with administration and veteran cricketers in the course to find out ways to improve the management of BCCI.

A Times of India report suggested that the committee received a request on Dalmiya's behalf asking them to allow BCCI president's son Abhishek Dalmiya to accompany him.

When asked to explain the reasons, the committee received the answer, ‘Illness-related problems'.

Abhishek was allowed to accompany his father by the committee on humanitarian grounds.

However, during the interview, the three judges were stunned to find out that BCCI boss was not able to comprehend the questions put before him. Abhishek relayed the questions to his father and translated the answers back to the committee members.

"If this is the physical and mental condition of the BCCI president at present, did those who elected him three months back not know about this? If the physical and mental status of the president has deteriorated so much in recent times, then who is running the affairs of the richest cricket body," they asked.
