New Delhi, Sep 14: India's allrounder Irfan Pathan has revealed that a Dubai-based bookie had given him a matchfixing offer during the Twenty20 World Cup cricket held in England in 2009.
Sources said, Irfan revealed this during a briefing for Team India by Anti Corruption Security Unit of ICC for the forthcoming T20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
The revelation comes at a time when the world cricket body is gearing up to host the Twenty20 World Cup in Sri Lanka.
During the 2009 T20 World Cup, several Pakistani cricketers were also offered matchfixing by the same Dubai-based bookie. Later, three cricketers Mohammed Asif, Mohammed Amer and Salman Butt were found guilty and suspended.
