New Delhi: After the revelation by the Supreme Court of the four names that were probed by Mudgal committee, former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi stated that all accussed should be locked up for what they did.
Modi took to the micro-blogging site Twitter and blasted all those mentioned by the apex court here Friday while hearing the IPL 6 match fixing case.
The big names disclosed in the report include ICC boss N Srinivasan, his son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, and Rajasthan Royals' co-owner Raj Kundra. COO of the IPL and CLT20 Sundar Raman too was probed.
Modi, who has been banned for life from all BCCI affairs, also thanked the Supreme Court and feels that the money and mafia power are no match even for the honourable Supreme Court.
He also thanked Justice Mudgal and called him the saviour of cricket.
Meiyappan had already been indicted following an incident where a Forensic Science Laboratory in Mumbai confirmed his voice samples in a tapped conversation with another accomplice Vindoo Dara Singh.
Names of three active players were inadvertently mentioned initially. However, the hounourable court decided to strike off their names considering the sensitivity of the issue and the possible far reaching implication on their career
The hearing was further adjourned till November 24. All four people have been asked to be physically present in the court for the next hearing.
The BCCI elections, which were scheduled for November 20, have also been put on hold.
