New Delhi: Zaheer Khan has become the latest entrant in the list of the injured players. He was injured in the game when his team Mumbai Indians was fielding against Kings XI Punjab.
The incident took place in the 19th over when Punjab was batting. Zaheer was bowling the penultimate over and it was in the third ball of over. Zaheer went down holding his left side.
He did not bowl any further. According to media reports no official statement has been issued by the team management of Mumbai franchise and the extent of his injury is not known.
Zaheer has played six matches in the tournament in which he has taken five wickets.
The seventh edition of IPL has already seen star players leaving the tournament in the middle due to injury. Dwayne Bravo of CSK is in the top of injured players list.
