Cox's Bazar (Bangladesh): The Indian women cricket team today defeated Bangladesh by 16 runs in its first Twenty20 match played at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium .

 

India made 101 for one with opener Mithali Raj and Poonam Raut sharing an unbeaten 98-run second wicket partnership. Earlier, Latika Kumari fell for a duck.
 
Mithali Raj (55*) struck four boundaries while Raut made 42 runs off 46 balls.
 
Replying, Bangladesh  were all out for 85 in their allotted 20 overs. Rumana Ahmed scored 21.
 
Left arm spinner Sravanthi Naidu finished with  four for nine.
