Mumbai: Skipper Dhoni's decision to field first in the second test match paid off as West Indies lost their two wickets for 93 at lunch here at Wankhede stadium.
First test hero Mohammad Shami continued his good form and struck for India when he had Chris Gayle caught at gully by Rohit, reducing visitors to 25/1. Gayle, who failed in both the innings at eden garden in the first test, could make only 11.
After fall of big wicket Powell and Bravo stabilized West Indies innings and put on 61 run for 2nd wicket. Second to go was Bravo (29) who was consumed by Ashwin. West Indies would have been in further deep trouble had two catches were taken at the slips.
Earlier in the morning, India won the toss and decided to bowl.
Then, Powell (45) and Marlon Samuels (0) are there at the crease for the Windies.
