-
India 114/4 after 14.3 overs: WICKET - Rishabh Pant departs! Excellent phase of game for the visitors as they have pocketed good quick wickets to put India on the backfoot. Pant had a short stay at the wicket before he departed back to the pavilion forcing his side to lose another one. Cottrell did his usual salute celebration after earning that wicket. Venkatesh Iyer comes in at No. 6 to help India recover.

India 95/3 after 12.3 overs: WICKET - Kohli gone! Good comeback by the Windies spinners as they have managed to get the wickets of set batsmen Ishan kishan and Virat Kohli. Roston Chase is bowling brilliantly as he has got two wickets giving away just 14 runs. And now, his spin partner Allen gets the big fish of Kohli, forcing India to lose three wickets before crossing the 100-run mark. SKY comes in and joins Pant at the other end. Both these batters should look to rebuild for India.
-
India 64/1 after 8 overs: WICKET - Rohit Sharma falls! Roston Chase provides the much-needed breakthrough for his team. Rohit was looking super dangerous and with him around, match could have ended much earlier. WI have found an opening in this low-scoring match against heavy-packed India. Kohli enters the ground and all eyes will be on him. Kohli should look to rebuild with set Kishan on the other end.
-
India 63/0 after 7 overs: Indian openers have provided a magnificent start to their side. Rohit is again showing why he just loves batting at Eden Gardens. He is playing around with the Windies bowlers and in no time he is almost nearing his fifty. Kishan is playing a second-fiddle till now and the duo have reached fifty-run partnership within the powerplay itself. If they both continue to steer like this, the match can get over with some good overs to spare. Interesting times ahead.
- India 44/0 after 4 overs: India are off to a quick start after the Indian openers Rohit and Kishan start aggresively against WI pacers. Windies should plan something to stop Rohit otherwise, we know how much the Indian skipper loves batting at Eden Gardens. All eyes on Pollard now. Spin introduced!
- West Indies 157/7 after 20 overs: India have done well to restrict dangerous West Indies to a below-par total of 157 runs. Since the beginning, the hosts were on point as they didn't allow the visitors to ever dominate them. Bhuvi was seen in a bit of a rhythm as he got the opening of wickets for his side, while the debutant Bishnoi had a dream start where he bagged two wickets giving away just 17 runs. For West Indies, only Pooran got going among the runs while, late smashes from skipper Pollard helped men in red reach a total where their bowlers have something to defend. It won't be an easy task for West Indies to control India. Join us back in a while to see who starts off with a win in T20 leg of the series.
- West Indies 90/5 after 13.5 overs: WICKET - Akeal Hosein falls! Another WI batter fails to score in this innings. Deepak Chahar comes in to bowl his third over of the night and he also cashed in by taking the catch off his own bowling. West Indies are in deep trouble now as they are half-side down before reaching 100-run mark. India are all over the visitors. Skipper Pollard finally shows up!
- West Indies 74/4 after 11 overs: WICKET - Double Blow! Bishnoi is living a dream debut against West Indies. He has bagged two wickets in a single over to put West Indies back. Firstly, he took the wicket of Roston Chase to end his struggle at the crease. Then, he outsmarted Powell to earn his second wicket in the international cricket. West Indies need to rebuild to get to a decent score, if at all they want to be in the game against India. Akeal Hosein arrives at the crease. Still, no signs of Pollard!
- West Indies 71/2 after 10 overs: Indian bowlers have been on point against the dangerous West Indian batting side. They have managed to control the innings till now by not bowling many lose deliveries against them. West Indies on the other hand, have mostly dealt in boundaries only and in that process they lost both their openers. Pooran and Chase are there at the crease and they will hope to build a strong partnership if they want to cross that 150-run mark against the hosts. Rohit should look to get done with his leggies before the big-hitting Pollard comes at the crease.
- West Indies 51/2 after 6.5 overs: WICKET - Kyle Mayers gone! Chahal after creating a close chance on his first ball of this innings, has finally got the big wicket of Mayers who was looking set to get a big score tonight. He smartly fooled the batter and forced him to sweep against a flighted leg-break and trapped him in front of the wickets. Mayers reviewed the dismissal but it was umpire's call in the end. Roston Chase enters the ground.
- West Indies 25/1 after 4 overs: Despite losing King in the very first over, West Indies have managed to keep the scoreboard ticking at a good pace. Mayers has looked positive and he is not losing out on any bad balls from the hosts. Bhuvi is looking good as he has managed to create problems for the visitors. Indian bowlers should not take these WI batters lightly and keep bowling tight lines to earn wickets. Interesting phase lies ahead.
- West Indies 4/1 after 1 over: WICKET - Brandon King departs! The opening pair of Brandon King and Kyle Mayers comes out to start the proceedings for West Indies. Bhuvi strikes in his first over to send Brandon King back to the pavilion. Just what Bhuvneshwar is known for and he exactly delivered like that for his team. He is also getting some swing from the surface. Good start for the hosts. Pooran comes in at No. 3.
