    India win by 67 runs

India have beaten Sri Lanka but not as overwhelmingly as they would have liked. Dasun Shanaka toiled India hard and notched a 100-run stand for the 9th wicket along with Rajitha. India would be more relieved that they got a big total. Sri Lanka need their middle order to fire as these targets are not achieved by one man. India dominated right from their batting as Rohit and Gill hit the fifties, before Kohli smashed a ton. In reply, the bowlers were good, especially Umran Malik and Mohammed Siraj. India failed to find a wicket late but have managed to win by 67 runs and take a 1-0 lead. We will now meet next on January 12 in Kolkata for the second ODI. I Varun Malik signs off. Take care.
