Durban: Rain again played spoilsport as the 3rd day's play of the 2nd and last test match between India and South Africa was stopped shortly after the tea break here on Saturday.
South Africa were 299/5 at stumps, when the drizzle started forcing the players off the ground.
Jacques Kallis, who will retire after the Test match, was batting on 78 and nightwatchman Dale Steyn was yet to open his account when play was stopped.
For India, Jadeja took his 4th wicket of the day when he leg befored JP duminy on 28.
Earlier in the day, Earlier on Day 3, Indian bowlers struck early in the first session of day 3 to hold South Africa on the back foot here on Saturday.
First Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Graeme Smith at 47 when Dhawan caught him out and then Shami clean bowled Hashim Amla at 3.
Next to go was Alviro Peterson (62) when M Vijay caught him at slip off Jadeja's delivery.
