New Delhi: At a time when the talks of revival of cricketing ties between India & Pakistan are doing rounds majority of the cricket fans across India feel that it is not the right moment to resume Indo-Pak cricket series.
An opinion poll was conducted by indiatvnews.com on Facebook and Twitter that received an overwhelming negative response when asked about resumption of cricket between India and Pakistan.
People were asked to share their response on the following question:
Should India play cricket series with Pakistan in Sri Lanka?
a) Yes
b) No
c) Can't say
An overwhelming majority of social media users responded with a big 'no'. 87% of the respondents felt that Team India should not play cricket with Pakistan. Only 12 % percent were in favour of resumption of one of the fiercely fought cricketing battles
Meanwhile, India today said no decision has been taken on holding of a cricket series with Pakistan, days after BCCI sought government's clearance on resuming cricketing ties with the neighbouring country.
“No decision has been taken on the India-Pakistan cricket series,” External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said here.The BCCI has to get clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs on the matter.

Majority of sports and strategic commentators in India have also voiced their opinion against giving green signal to this series, that too in a third country.
They point out that the very fact that the series is being planned in a third country means that the strain in relationship continues.
Indian commentators have also pointed out that India has not played any series with Pakistan since 26/11 primarily because it held Pakistan responsible for Mumbai attacks and demanded punishment for the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
They have underlined the fact that Hafiz Saeed is still roaming free under protection of Pakistan govt then why play cricket series with them.
"The series will generate huge revenue for Pakistan that they may use for funding terror in India. Why should India play Pakistan under thee circumstances," one commentator asked.
