Mumbai: International Cricket Council (ICC) chief executive officer David Richardson said on Wednesday that India should feel proud of the way they have improved their standards both on and off the field over the last 10 to 15 years.
"India should be very proud of the way they have improved their standards in all aspects of the game be it on the field, in administration, organising events and so on. Past 10-15 years India have done and evolved in the game like never before," Richardson said here after announcing Nissan as the official global car partner of ICC for a span of eight years.
The car manufacturer will sponsor all big ICC tournaments till 2023 which will include the World Cup, World Twenty20, Champions Trophy, women's World Cup and other top events.

Speaking on the upcoming World T20 which is scheduled to take place from March to April in India next year, Richardson said, "The idea is to make sure that the World T20 in India emerges to be the most successful World T20 tournament that has ever happened."
"The main motive of the ICC would be to organise the game in a clean and clear manner which gives the fans and spectators something to cheer about and get involved in the sport," the ICC CEO added.
