IND-W vs MAL-W, Women's Asia Cup 2022, Highlights: India women's cricket team defeated Malaysia in their second match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 by 30 runs (D/L method). Lead by S Meghana, Indian batters were clinical in the match.

Coming after a win in their first match, the Indian women's team clashes against Malaysia women at Sylhet Outer Cricket Stadium, Sylhet. India has made four changes to their playing XI.

    IND-W wins second match

    The Indian women's team has won its second match of the Women's Asia Cup 2022 after rain intervened in the match against Malaysia. India were clinical with the bat today as the openers starred for the team. S Meghana fulfilled her captain's expectations of her and Shafali Verma will also get some confidence as she scored 46 runs. Richa Ghosh was brilliant with her late cameo to help India finish strong at 181. Malaysia could not do much in their batting. They were reduced to 16/2 in 5.2 overs before the rain Gods entered and washed the match. However, it was good exposure for a minnow Malaysia to play against India and they would look to learn from the game and better their performance. India next plays against UAE on Tuesday at 1:00 PM IST. Till then this is Varun Malik signing off along with Jishu Bhattacharya. Ta-ta

    India women finishes well with 181

    The Indian women's team finishes well on the back of a cameo from Richa Ghosh. The 19-year-old batter scored 33 off 19 balls to help India score 181 in 20 overs. Earlier Shafali Verma and S Meghana played brilliant knocks and laid a strong platform. Verma carried on but was sent back by Nur Dania Syuhada in the 19th over. She sent Kiran Navgire on the next ball to get on a hat-trick chance. However, she was denied. India has a good total on board and will fancy their chances to win this comprehensively.

    In in the middle of Richa Ghosh's wonderful cameo, India women lost two wickets in the form of Shafali Verma and Kiran Navgire. Verma departed for 46, while Navgire departed for Golden duck. A hat-trick chance for Nur Dania Syuhada but she misses.
