IND vs SA 4th T20, Highlights: India thrash SA by 82 runs; Level series 2-2
Alright, the thrashing's complete. India win by 82 runs. What a turnaround it has been for the men in blue. Absolutely brilliant. After suffering two moral-breaking losses, they have come back to haunt SA by winning the third T20 by 48 runs, and then the fourth T20 by 82 runs. The caravan now moves to Bangalore for the fifth and final T20. Until then, it's Kartik Mehindru, signing off.- SA 78/7 after 14 overs: Jansen got hit on the back of his neck. Scary scenes out there. Physio ran out to check on him. Jansen took the crease again, Khan doesn't let go, bowls another short ball and this time Jansen holed out towards mid-wicket. Dished out the same treatment to Maharaj, short ball, batter looked to pull and holed it for an easy catch. The game is over for SA.
- SA 70/4 after 12 overs: The spinners are extracting some great turn. Gloomy signs for Proteas. India are choking them. Unless one of Jansen or Dussen plays a blinder, this is it for SA in this match.
Miller's wicket means that India can control the game from hereon. If they manage to send Dussen back in the next couple of overs, they'll kill the chase. South Africa will need a magical inning, if they want to win this match. Pant, too, has used his bowlers brilliantly today.
- SA 53/3 in 9 overs: As wickets keep on tumbling. the man who has form on his side has walked out, David Miller has walked out
- SA 39/2 in 7 overs: With most of the top order dismissed, vd Dussen and Klaasen look to rebuild SA's innings
- SA 25/1 in 5 overs: Confusion all over in the SA camp as de Kock departs after a half-hearted call. Harshal executes a perfect run out
- Bavuma is walking off. It seems that he injured his elbow trying to get on top of Bhuvi's delivery. This is huge in the context of the game. Can SA manage 170 without him? Let's see.
- SA 20/0 in 3 overs: Solid start from SA. They may not have scored quickly, but they haven't lost wickets. 170, on this wicket, seems par. If they can consolidate, the target looks pretty chaseable. Let's see what Bavuma and de Kock can do.
Well, that was some comeback by India. Led by Karthik's 55 and Hardik's 46, India have given themselves a fighting chance vs the Proteas, who will be disappointed with the way things panned out at the business end of the innings.
- IND 89/4 after 13 overs: Rishabh Pant failed yet again. Hardik Pandya smacked Shamsi for a couple of sixes to settle a few nerves in the Indian camp. But SA have again pegged India back with Pant's wicket. Dinesh Karthik is the next batsman. What will he do? Finish or rebuild?
- IND 44/3 in 7 overs: Well, not really what India would have hoped for. The team is three down, and the runs aren't coming. SA have been absolutely brilliant with their lines. Hardik and Pant are at the crease now. India would want them to deliver today. This is exactly the kind of pressure and situation the team will come across in the World Cup down-under.
- IND 39/2 after 5 overs: That is some start for South Africa. Ngidi first struck early to send Gaikwad back, and then Jansen came to scalp out Iyer. Kishan, as usual, started out slowly He'll need to be careful, and play with a mix of caution and aggression. The score isn't really great after 5 overs, and India will look to attack in the last over of the Powerplay.
