ICC World Cup 2023: Updated squads of all participants as deadline for tweaks draws to close

In a major changes on a deadline day, Australia included their in-form batter Marnus Labuschagne in the place of Ashton Agar while India added the veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to their final squads for the ICC World Cup 2023.

India and Australia made major changes to their final squads for the ICC World Cup 2023 on Thursday, September 28. A deadline to submit the final 15-member list passed on Thursday and now teams for the upcoming mega event in India cannot make further changes to their teams.

For India, the veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin replaced the injured left-arm bowling all-rounder Axar Patel. Ashwin and Virat Kohli were the only players from the current team who were part of the World Cup winnings squad when India lifted the famous trophy in 2011.

In-from batter Marnus Labuschagne also found a place in Australia's final team at the expense of spin all-rounder Ashton Agar. Labuschagne's red-hot form in ODIs further boosts Australia's impressive batting unit who enter the tournament as favourites. Other teams were also forced to make changes to their provisional squads with the likes of Harry Brook and Hasan Ali among major names.
