Kolkata, June 25 : Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly tonight said IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan is like a brother to him and he does not have strained relations with the Bollywood superstar.Regarding reports of his sour relations with Shah Rukh, Ganguly said, “It is a wrong story....SRK is a brother.” “There had been references in past also about my relations with Shah Rukh. Let me emphasise I am having good relations with him as a dear friend,” Ganguly, the host of a game show on a private TV channel, told reporters here.

Ganguly interjected during a press meet on the show when a reporter asked Bollywood star Aamir Khan, who would be a special guest in one of the episodes, whether his turning up as guest had anything to do with Ganguly's new equations with Shah Rukh.

“Contrary to speculations I don't have any strained relations with Shah Rukh, I reiterate. And I have the best wishes for KKR,” Ganguly asserted as Aamir Khan looked on. In a past media meet on the game show ‘Ke Habe Banglar Kotipati' on Mahua Bangla, Ganguly had hinted about inviting Aamir and if possible Shah Rukh as special guests for future shows.

“Inviting guests is the channel's prerogative, but I think why just Salman, it would also be great having Aamir and Shah Rukh in the hotseat,” he had said when asked if Salman Khan could be invited as a special guest.

Ganguly, who led Kolkata Knight Riders during the last three IPL seasons, was signed by the Pune Warriors as replacement for Ashish Nehra after he went unsold in the IPL auctions for the fourth edition. PTI
