New Delhi: The countdown for the commencement of India biggest sporting carnival has already started.

The eighth edition of Indian Premiere League (IPL) will start from April 8 and will continue till May 24th. The t20 league which has become one of the most closely followed tournament in the world has some promising speedsters who will play for various franchise and may also prove a tough nut to crack.

The t20 format of cricket is considered to be batsmen friendly game; however on a given day these pacers can bowl out any opposition.

 

Let's take a watch on some of the most promising fast bowlers who will play in IPL 8

 

Mitchell Starc (RCB):

The Aussie speedster who was the man of the tournament at the recently concluded ICC World Cup is certainly going to be threat for the opposition teams.

The 25 year old left arm bowler who will be playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will definitely try to skittle down a few wickets up front for his side. Starc made a impressive debut last year, finishing the season with a total of 14 wickets.

 

Trent Boult

Trent Boult (SRH):

The fast bowler from New Zealand who took an impressive 22 wickets for his side during the World Cup will be another face that the cricket fans will watch out for. The Kiwi speedster was bought buy Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a whopping 38 million rupees, making him the costliest New Zealander.

Boult is expected to play a crucial role in the SRH line up as his job will be take wickets of the opposing teams right up front.

Sean Abott

Sean Abbott (RCB): 

The 23 year old Aussie who grabbed headlines as the bowler  who bowled Philip Hughes the last ball which hit the Aussie batsman and resulted in his untimely death. Abott will play in the IPL for Vijay Mallay's franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

The New South Wales pacer will form a deadly duo with his Australian counterpart Mitchell Starc in the bowling department of his side. Abott was also named as Bradman Young Player which also appreciates his bowling skills

Gurinder Sandhu

Gurinder Sandhu (DD): 

An Australian pacer of Indian descent who also plays for the New South Wales cricket team. The Delhi Daredevils (DD) has obtained Sandhu for an amount of RS 1.7 crore.  Sandhu was a member of the Under-19 Australia cricket team in the 2101 ICC Under-19 cricket Team.

The main strength of Gurinder is his ability to bowl accurate yorkers which will prove vital in the shortest format of the game. Sandhu will be teaming up with his idol Zaheer Khan for Delhi Daredevils in this year's editionof IPL.

Veer Pratap Singh

Veer Pratap Singh (KKR):

Veer Pratap Singh from India who is just 22 years old and bowls right-arm medium seam bowling will be another pacer to be watch out at IPL 8.Veer Pratap who plays first class cricket for Bengal is believed to be a nippy bowler.

Veer has been retained by the current champion Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) which goes on to show the confidence of the team management on this new pacer from India. Veer Pratap has taken 10 wickets in 9 matches while he played for the Hyderabad franchise in 2012.
