Sachin Tendulkar's farewell to cricket last week after a 24-year international career will go down as one of sport's most historic moments.
Sachin Tendulkar wanted to play his 200th and final Test at his home ground so that his mum could attend. But there was no escaping the raw emotion of occasion from Tendulkar's last innings, via his farewell speech, to his final press conference.
Such were the expectations from this little master that people wanted him to bid adieu to the game with a ton and he almost did, making 74 on second day of second and the last test of the series against West Indies.
It wasn't just Sachin who, during his farewell speech, could not hold back his tears, even adults were seen crying. Those who watched his 200th and the last test would admit without any doubt that they will never ever attend another game of cricket that was so much the preserve of a single player.
