New Delhi, Aug 18: Team India's dashing batsman Virat Kohli has said, he literally worships Sachin Tendulkar and equalling his feat of one hundred tons was  like Mission Impossible for him.

Kohli said, "I feel really blessed when people start comparing me with Sachin, but I keep myself focussed on my performance, and not on such comparisons. I literally worship him, so, I don't see too much in this comparison."

"No cricketer has been able to score one hundred centuries like Sachin. It will be a big achievement.  I don't think at all about this, because it increases pressure on you. I keep myself focussed on my performance."

Kohli was replying to questions from Rajat Sharma in India TV's show Aap Ki Adalat.

Kohli disagreed with Sourav Ganguly describing Yuvraj Singh's comeback as  a bit too early.

"I don't think it is an emotional decision. If he (Yuvraj)  says he is confident and fit, then he should be given the chance. It should be a perfect comeback for him.

"The first match after comeback always makes one nervous. If he performs well in the World Cup, it will be a big boost for Team India. For us, the World Cup is an important tournament", said Kohli.

About his selection as vice-captain, Kohli said, it was a pleasant surprise for him. "I could learnt a lot as a vice-captain", he added.

Asked whether he would be eventually replacing M S Dhoni as captain, Kohli said: "No, I don't think so. As captain, he has done a lot for Team India."

On the forthcoming ICC World Cup, the batsman said, "I can't promise, but I will definitely do my best to win laurels for my team."

Kohli also spoke about his anger on the field, on media linking him with Deepika Padukone and Sarah Jane Dias and on Dhoni helping him to get rid of superstition.

Kohli said: " I don't believe in superstition, but earlier I used to.  I used to wear the same black wrist band and the same pair of gloves.

"During the West Indies tour, I was feeling low, and when the England tour came up, I did somewhat better in the first match, but couldn't do well in the remaining three.

"So, in the last ODI at Cardiff, M S Dhoni told me to forget about all such things and just go and play.

"I donned new wrist band, new gloves and new pads, and scored a century. From that day onwards, I decided never to believe in superstitition."

About his links with actors Deepika Padukone and Sarah Jane Dias, Kohli said: "I know Deepika and have met her several times, because she was the team ambassador at IPL, but I have never in my life met Sarah Jane Dias. It's all the handiwork of media."

On his anger on the field when given out, Kohli said: "I had this habit from childhood. I never liked being out, whether I am out on zero or I score a ton. Then I somewhat get angry.

"Occasionally, I shout abuses, but, of late, I am trying to control my aggression, so that my behavious doesn't go over the top. I have broken too many bats in my childhood."

Kohli recalled the emotional moment, when, at the age of 17, his 54-year-old father died and the next day he was to finish his innings in the Ranji match.

"I silently drove with Ishan Sharma to the grounds. That day, I was out for 90. I learnt a lot that day. I learnt if you have dedication, nothing else can distract you. I returned home and joined my father's funeral. It was a tough time for me."

Rajat Sharma's show Aap Ki Adalat featuring Virat Kohli will be telecast today (Saturday Aug 18) at  10 pm, and tomorrow (Sunday Aug 19) at 10 am and 10 pm.
