Karachi, Jan 21 : England's players union, the Professional Cricketers Association has asked its members not to take part in Pakistan Super League in March citing security concerns.

Pakistan Super League is modelled on Indian Premier League, played in Twenty20 format. It is set to launch in late March and the Pakistan Cricket Board had planned to attract international cricketers to the league.

“Our advice is that players should not take part in the PSL,” PCA chief executive, Angus Porter, told Daily Mail.

No international cricket team has toured Pakistan since the 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan team in Lahore.

Five teams will be part of the league in its first three editions and each team will comprise five local players and six international players.
