New Delhi, Oct 19: England pace bowler Chris Woakes has been ruled out of the remainder of the team's limited-overs tour of India due to a thigh injury and will be replaced by Graham Onions.
The announcement was made Wednesday, a day before the third one-dayer to be played in the northern city of Mohali.
Woakes, who did not play the first two one-dayers of the five-game series which India leads 2-0, suffered a "left quadriceps strain" during the team's practice session in New Delhi before the second game.
Durham seamer Onions is expected to join the team in time for the fourth game in Mumbai on Oct. 23.
The final one-dayer of the series as well as a lone Twenty20 game will be held in Kolkata on Oct. 25 and 29.
