Delhi: The fourth Test between India and South Africa in Delhi appears to be in jeopardy after a panel appointed by the Delhi government recommended that the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) be suspended.

The three-member panel has called for the DDCA to be replaced by a body of professional cricketers.

The panel was set up by the Delhi government on November 12 to probe the DDCA's alleged irregularities including the non-payment of entertainment tax worth over Rs 24 crore. The BCCI was expected to bail out the DDCA by providing a grant.

But the panel's recommendation has shrouded the Delhi Test in fresh uncertainty. However, the panel's mandate does not extend to deciding whether or not the Test will go ahead in Delhi.

The panel comprises of secretary Public Works Department and Vigilance, Chetan B Sanghi, secretary education and sports, Punya Srivastava and standing counsel for the Delhi government, Rahul Mehrotra.

DDCA Vice President Chetan Chauhan and Treasurer Raj Manchanda met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday in a desperate bid to save the Test which is scheduled to start on December 3.

The Test is likely to be moved to Pune if the DDCA is not able to get the necessary clearance.

Here are the recommendations of the panel in full:
