New Delhi: Soon after his swearing-in ceremony, Delhi's new chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday wished the Indian cricket team luck and expressed optimism that the defending champions would retain the cricket World Cup title they won in 2011.
"I wish the Indian team good luck and I am confident that they will bring back the Cup home," Kejriwal said at Ramlila Maidan.
India begins their campaign in the tournament with a high-voltage clash against arch-rivals Pakistan in Adelaide on Sunday. It is expected to be the most-watched match in the history of cricket.
The World Cup kicked off today with a double header in Christchurch and Melbourne.
