Pitch report by Kevin Pietersen and Aaron Finch

It's even 62m square boundaries on both sides. It is 74m straight today. The surface was watered a few hours ago, some grass cutting was put and was nicely rolled, the groundsmen were worried about this pitch becoming very dry. It still seems dry, it's very hot at 41 degrees. You should bat first on this surface, there are some flaky cracks which could open up as the game progresses. This will make the wicket slower and lower, and offer more turn afterwards. Batting will get difficult as the game goes

    What is on line?

This is a very crucial contest for CSK. They are yet to confirm their place in the final four of the season and a win will not only confirm that spot but can also lead them to a top 2 finish. On the other hand, a loss can still eliminate CSK, if other results go against them. Meanwhile, the Capitals are already out of the race and want to spoil CSK's party.
