Islamabad, Jul 4 : The Sindh High Court has summoned the Pakistan Cricket Board to appear on July 26 for ignoring test leg-spinner Danish Kaneria.
Kaneria's lawyer Farogh Naseem told AP on Monday that Sindh High Court has also asked PCB officials not to issue any defamatory remarks about the leg-spinner.
Kaneria filed a court petition demanding that the PCB allow him to play test cricket or explain why he's not considered for selection.
Naseem says he told the court that no investigation of match-fixing is pending against his client, but a PCB's integrity committee has not cleared him to play international cricket for the last eight months.
Essex police cleared Kaneria of criminal charges in Sept. 2010 over allegations that he was involved in spot-fixing during a county match against Durham in 2009. AP
