New Delhi: In the rain shortened 3rd ODI match against West Indies being played in Queensland, New Zealand, on Wednesday, New Zealand's all-rounder Corey Anderson has broken a 17-year-old world record.
The match in Queensland witnessed two quick centuries, one was hit by Jesse Ryder from 46 balls and the other one was cracked by his team-mate Corey Anderson.
Corey overtook Pakistan's Shahid Afridi by scoring the fastest ODI ton from just 36 balls.
Corey Anderson had always been known for his powerful hits in domestic games as well as T20s, but he took it to a new level on New Year's Day 2014 when he broke the world record for the fastest ODI hundred with a 36-ball ton.
It came a few months after he scored a century in his second Test telling the world that he is here to stay.
