Canberra: Veteran batsman Brad Hodge has been named in the Prime Minister's XI to play England in a 50-overs match on Tuesday, fanning his faint hopes of a recall to Australia's team for the World Twenty20 tournament.
The 39-year-old Hodge hasn't played an international in six years but his form in Australia's Big Bash Twenty20 league has been solid and he has a small chance of appearing at the world tournament in Bangladesh in March.
Brett Lee will captain a Prime Minister's XI which includes fellow fast bowlers Jackson Bird and Ben Cutting. Spinners James Muirhead and Clive Rose and attacking batsmen Chris Lynn and Luke Pomersbach have also been included.
