All the Indian bowlers were clobbered as South Africa went berserk to smash 438/4 in the final ODI at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
But it was medium pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar who came in for some special punishment.
Bhuvneshwar was thrashed for 106 runs in his ten overs to set a new record for an Indian bowler.
The previous holder was Vinay Kumar who will no doubt be happy that this dubious record has changed hands.
Vinay was hammered for 102 in just nine overs against Australia in Bangalore in 2013.
However, India still ended up winning the match comfortably by 57 runs since they had piled up 383 batting first.
That match is better known for Rohit Sharma's scintillating 209.
The only consolation for Bhuvneshwar is that his figures were not the most expensive in ODI history.
Only one bowler has given away more runs than Bhuvi: Mick Lewis of Australia.
Lewis went wicketless while conceding a staggering 113 runs in his ten overs against South Africa in Johannesburg in 2006.
At least Bhuvi had the minor satisfaction of claiming the wicket of AB de Villiers.
Coincidentally, South Africa hammered 438 in both matches!
