Mumbai, Dec 13 (PTI) The next hearing of the Cricket Board's disciplinary committee, probing charges of financial irregularities agianst Lalit Modi, has been put off by two weeks following a request from the former Indian Premier League Commissioner's attorney Mehmood Abdi.

Abdi requested that the sitting, scheduled today and tomorrow at Delhi, be put off following an accident of Modi's counsel Swadeep Hora, who has been cross-examining the witnesses of the BCCI and the request has been accepted, it was learnt.

Hora met with an accident on Friday evening while he was travelling back to Jaipur and would be unable to conduct the cross examination today and tomorrow as his son has sustained injuries and required his care and attention, the Modi camp informed disciplinary panel member Arun Jaitley.

The new dates of the hearing have been fixed as December 27 and 28, it was learnt.
