New Delhi:   In a clear hint that the Indian cricket team will go ahead with the tour of Zimbabwe, the BCCI today confirmed that the selection committee will meet here on Monday to pick the squad.

"A meeting of the All-India Senior Selection Committee of the BCCI will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, 29 June 2015, at the Hotel ITC Maurya, Delhi, to select the Indian teams for the forthcoming tour of Zimbabwe, which comprises three (3) ODIs and two (2) T20 Internationals starting from 10 July 2015," the BCCI said in a statement.

The next month's tour to the African nation had been rendered doubtful owing to unresolved issues between the country's cricket board and host broadcaster Ten Sports.

Zimbabwe Cricket had said in a press release that it was hopeful of going ahead with India's tour of the country.

The fatigue of the Indian players, who have been playing continuous cricket over the past six to seven months, was also seen as one of the reasons for the tour's likely abandonment.

The BCCI's confirmation, however, puts all the speculations to rest The committee will also select the India 'A' team that will participate in a tri-series against Australia 'A' and South Africa 'A' to be held in Chennai and Wayanad from July 19.

The selection committee meeting will be followed by a press conference addressed by secretary Anurag Thakur and chairman of selectors Sandeep Patil.
