Bangladesh also left out Mominul Haque and rookie Rony Talukdar from the squad.

Spinner Saeed Ajmal returned to the Pakistan team after remodeling his bowling action, while opener Mohammad Hafeez and fast bowler Junaid Khan also came back to the squad after missing the World Cup.
