Dhaka, Oct 17: Bangladesh has named a ruling party Member of Parliament and business executive as the new president of its national cricket board.
In a statement on Wednesday, the government says Nazmul Hasan, son of President Zillur Rahman, replaces A.H.M. Mustafa Kamal who was recently made the vice president of the International Cricket Council for the next two years.
Hasan is known as a sports organizer, and serves as the managing director of a leading Bangladeshi pharmaceuticals company.
The length of his appointment was not announced.
Hasan, a member of ruling Awami League party, is visiting Kuwait with his father.
