Townsville, Aug 25: Bangladesh captain Inamul Huque scored a century to help his team defeat Pakistan by 5 wickets and clinch the seventh position in the play off match for the under-19 World Cup on Friday here.
Pakistan batting first made 235 for 8 in the allotted 50 overs. Muhammad Nawaz scored 82 runs.
From Bangladesh side, Taskeen Ahmad took 3 wickets, while Shahid Ilyas and Diwan Sabir took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Bangladesh achieved the target in 46.2 overs for the loss of 5 wickets. Captain Inamul Huque made 128 runs off 112 balls with 8 sixes and 5 fours.
Mos of the Pakistani bowlers failed to make the mark while facing Inamul Huque, who in the second wicket partnership with Lyton Das, piled up 179 runs to ensure his team's success. Inamul Huque was adjudged the Man of the Match.
