Mirpur, Bangladesh: Sohag Gazi and Mashrafe Mortaza claimed three wickets each to help Bangladesh win the second one-day international by 40 runs against New Zealand on Thursday.
Chasing the target of 248 to win the match, New Zealand faltered on 207 in the 47th over as Gazi returned 3-34 and Mortaza finished with 3-43.
They were accompanied by part-time spinner Mominul Haque as he came up with 2-13 while Bangladesh registered their second series victory over the Black Caps.
It was their six straight win over the Kiwis after the 4-0 drubbing in 2010.
Ross Taylor top-scored for New Zealand with 45, Corey Anderson made 37 and Kyle Mills remained unbeaten on 27.
