Australia will square off against the Netherlands in the ongoing World Cup at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday, October 25. The five-time champions are finally looking into their elements after winning two consecutive games against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Australia are fourth on the points table with four points and a net run rate (NRR) of -0.193 which certainly needs some improvement. Travis Head's return to the playing XI is imminent and will bring a fresh wind of energy to the group.

Head's inclusion will most likely lead to a change in Mitchell Marsh's batting order, who has been opening the batting alongside David Warner in his (Head) absence and scored a match-winning knock of 121 runs against the 1992 World Cup-winners at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

On the other hand, the Dutch are coming into this contest on the back of a five-wicket loss which they suffered at the hands of Sri Lanka. The Scott Edwards-led side has already caused a massive upset in the tournament with a stunning over South Africa in Dharamsala and will look to script something similar on Wednesday in New Delhi.

Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi Pitch Report

Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi used to have a slow batting surface but that has not been the case in the ongoing marquee tournament. The first match of the event between South Africa and Sri Lanka witnessed a run-fest.

Both teams piled up the highest aggregate (754) ever recorded in the tournament's history as the Proteas emerged victorious in the end. The venue has played host to three games in the ongoing edition thus far and batters have enjoyed batting in all of those. The chain of events is likely to continue on Wednesday.
