Dhaka: The Asian Cup tournament beginning in Bangladesh from Tuesday is facing a problem of sorts.
Major cricketers like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sri Lanka's Tilakaratne Dilshan and Pakistani fast bowler Mohammed Irfan are out of the tournament because of injuries.
Dhoni is out because of a side strain he suffered during the New Zealand tour, while, Dilshan is out with a finger injury during the recent ODI series against Bangladesh.
Pakistan's fast bowler Mohammed Irfan is out with a hip injury during the South Africa tour. Tamim Iqbal of Bangladesh is down with a neck strain.
Seamer Nuwan Kulasekara and spinner Rangana Herath of Sri Lanka are also out becaue of injuries.
Team India captain Virat Kohli admits Dhoni´s absence will be a big change for his team.
"His not being there is a big change, but I am sure the other guys will make the most of the opportunity," he told reporters in Dhaka.
"He (Dhoni) is the reason why we have been very good in the one-day format in recent years," Kohli said .
